To build wealth and community embracing the Nguzo Saba and leveraging technology.

Mission

The IBB Investment Group, LLC [ibBIG] is a traditional investment club launched from I BUY BLACK, Inc. (www.iBuyBlack.org) in January 2019 to provide a practical investment vehicle for business-minded individuals who believe in the (7) principles of the NGUZO SABA, particularly Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics: "To build and maintain our own stores, shops, and other businesses and to profit from them together"). A focus on Black history and cultural awareness acts as the foundational element that unites members, reinforcing our shared commitment to economic empowerment through cooperative efforts.

Did you know...

...that one of the earliest and most successful Black investment organizations was founded right here in Philadelphia in 1962? Rev. Leon Sullivan launched the 10-36 Plan. Each participant was asked to set aside $10 each month for 36 months to raise funds to initiate housing projects, shopping centers, business enterprises, and human and social services. That Sunday (50) church members signed on. The next Sunday (250) more signed on. This "Progress Movement" created both Sullivan Progress Plaza Shopping Center (1501 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA) and Haddington Shopping Centers. Joining an investment club is no longer a luxury.

It is a necessity to help the Black community avoid almost near-certain financial disaster. In July 2019, multiple news outlet published a similar article entitled "AFRICAN AMERICAN WEALTH MAY FALL TO ZERO BY 2053".  The implications are alarming.

"The latest Federal Reserve Board Survey of Consumer Finances  shows that a Black person with a bachelor’s degree has a median net worth that is only two-thirds of the median net worth of a White person with no bachelor’s degree."
